Spartan time!!!

Eric and our good friend Nolan participated and finished a Spartan race held in Salt Lake this past summer (mind you, two weeks after baby D was born and two weeks before Nolan's wife Chelsea was due with their youngest baby Teya ) Chelsea and I were both very proud of these two.

For those of you who are unfamiliar with the spartan races...may I give you a three sentence overview...
Spartan Race is a series of obstacle races of varying distance and difficulty ranging from 3 miles to marathon distances.
They are held in USA and franchised to 14 countries including Canada, many European countries, South Korea, and Australia.
ESPN describes the Spartan Race as "a true test of will.

I thought a lot of these pictures were so cool...though Eric describes it more as excruciating!

 jumping
 Rope climbing

 scaling
 tugging...
 wall climbing
lots and lots of mud...in fact it took about 10 sink fulls of rinsing and soaking before we could see the peach color of his shirt. So impressed that he sought to do it and did it so well.
