SPIKEY or LONG that is the question

OK, here is the deal. Aimei and I have been having big debates over my hair. My hair is at the point where I have to decide to go with the current short and spiky look, or the longer look. I have included a handfull of random pictures below showing the two hair styles. I am going to go with a majority vote on this one. The style gets the most votes in the comment section, will be the winner.
SPIKEY SPIKEY

LONGER
LONGER

And LONGER with some Scooby Doo art I painted a while back. Maybe I should grow my hair out like Shaggy's. Nah!

I like the second picture when it is spikey but I think that it should be a shorter spikey than the first picture. Or a mohawk. Either one.

How about a long, spikey mohawk. He would win every case because everyone in the courtroom would be so fascinated with his hair, they wouldn't pay any attention to what he is saying. The judge would think he has to know what he is talking about to walk around with such an extreme hair style. If you dye it a different color each week, it would work even better. If the hair nearly hits the ceiling, it would be even more impressive. Just warn him about poking eyes out with the hair. If you don't like that idea, shave it like me.

Eric,

I feel compelled to admonish you to consider the benefits of the part-down-the-middle-feathered look. Back in the 70's, I drew a lot of respect with this style. You may also want to deliberate over sporting a mullet. When I came home from my mission, I used this style to advertise my quick normalization into regular society. Whatever you decide, if you're anything like me, the value of this feature depreciates fast along with the actual amount of hair you keep as the years roll by...good luck on this important decision!

Oh it could be worse, when my cousin Brian got married in the 80's I had a full on rat tail. It was super cool let me tell ya.

Eric... I like the messy spikey look but I would go a little shorter in the front then what you have. Make sure to have your hair stylist texture it nicely :)

Short and spikey- but ditch the hair gel and get yourself some real product. Jason is attached to the gel as well, but it's like bringing alcohal into the house for me. Try Redkin for men hair products. or Bedhead manipulator. There is a knockoff brand of that stuff here that I buy that's like a fourth of the price, we will go get you some the next time you are here!
