The most wonderful time of the year!

Christmas time means lots of candy, presents, gingerbread houses and parties!!

We went to the Chestnuts' Gingerbread party...this year I made a simpler house...
 Yea, right....

I did include a golden Moroni on top made totally from the gold foil on the top of the apple cider bottles!

Apparently there were multiple bets going on that I would not finish/make a gingerbread house...well: HA!!! In your face!

The Hanberg kids...Avery is in my primary class and is just so wonderful!!!

Max's gingerbread train...I like how Robin is the conductor/Shepherd!

 Kaylee, Max and Scarlett
Max cheering after his secret Santa present is revealed...which is better than years past!!!

Mrs. Merlee was so generous, she even had presents prepared for the younger siblings. Lia loved opening her gift.

This year, we had a new addition to our little family...meet Lucky the Christmas Elf on a shelf...such a good religious little elf... notice he and Spiderman (sitting on a pink potty) are both reading their scriptures!

Cutest ELF on the Shelf. EVER!!!

Have a little Faith...

I love this picture of Lia at Faith's birthday party. Faith's mom was nice enough to get all the kids a balloon including Max's little sisters!
What a difference a year makes!!! I even made them hold the same toys. Faith is still one of Max's favorite people!
Faith and Emerson

Chloe, Max & Emerson

Casey did face painting for the party...

Faith is the best kind of kid to give a gift to...she yelled with heartfelt glee at each gift she received.

Another great party...another year...it flies by so quickly!!

Happy Birthday to me! Look at all those candles!!!

So, Eric planned a surprise party for me...have you ever known husbands to execute a well planned surprise party? Well, good for you...I haven't (save only, perhaps Jason Christensen). This was the only picture we got of the party...It was fun, none the less and filled with friends, laughter and food...so, I could not ask for more!

I told the kids that they could put as many candles on the cake as they wanted and wherever they wanted...so, they  used 48 candles and put them ALL over the cake...sadly, one of my friend's daughter asked her mom in disbelief (only slight disbelief), "Is sister Phillips really 48 years old?!"
ARE YOU KIDDING?!?!?!?!!!

It's a balloon Party for Marley!

Our friends' daughter turned three and had a balloon party.
What's a party without a pinata, right?!

Cuteness...just happy Max didn't try to blow out the candles himself!

He did, however, very much enjoy the Doc McStuffin' earphones Marley got for her birthday!

Kiri had a blast and did not want to leave! Happy birthday, Marley!

Happy Halloween 2013!!!

Happy Halloween...the girls could not get enough candy this year!!!
It always surprises me how much more Halloween decorations I have than Christmas.

Max and his preschool class got to go to the pumpkin patch for field trip..he LOVES Mrs. Heidi...

Max insisted on picking out his own pumpkin...

picking out; yes...picking UP; not so much!
His preschool class...so cute!!!

He and his class picked out a class pumpkin and carved it ...theirs was the one with the circle nose.

Here he is at another Halloween function...

...and another...It was another great Halloween season...and I mean season. He attended over half a dozen parties...dressed up at each function and ate more chocolate than any human adult should ever consume!!!

Bucket List- Thriller Style!!!!

So, Eric's cousin Jason married Meradith whom I am honored to call one of my good friends...and I forgive you Mer for that introduction so many years ago!!! :) I forgive you, so long as you forgive me for taking these photos of you and your sister off of your facebook page without asking...
Beauty and talent...they were Double Platinum in High school...a little Lauren Hill going on!

Mervis as Michael and Julie put on the this awesome 80's surprise party for Meradith...just a tender 30. Eric couldn't make it so I drove down by myself...probably the more substantial gift than the gift I purchased or made.
Michael playing the Atari.

Dancers getting ready...

Forgive the non-parallel placement of the non square cubes on the Rubix Cube...I was in a hurry to get to the performance...this was done in about 20 minutes...

Yea...still already a little creepy by then...still kinda manly, though I don't think that's his body...
Me and Cassie

Julie and I getting ready for the big number...Julie throws a spectacular party...apparently it has always been on Meradith's bucket list to have a flash mob dance for her?! I think?! Well, it has always been on my bucket list to be a part of a flash mob...and seriously, what could possible be better than Thriller at an 80's party fully equipped with a Michael Jackson impersonator, fog Machine and a dear friend's birthday. Once in a life time!!! I was so THRILLED to be a part of it!

There's been a MURDER... mystery party!

The invitation looked better in real life since we burned the edges...MWAHHHHHAAAhaaaaa!

Being in a new ward inspired us to start our party juices, again. With our close friends the Chestnuts, we decided to put on a Murder Mystery party for adults only.
 A nurse...
I made a Chinese BBQ pork loin...
 Sweet & Sour sauce...
 with meatballs...
Bonnie went all out with her costume, food...
 and the decorations...
these two were my first choices for the murderers...
...but, this innocent man in the middle ended up being the culprit.
