Park City for Jim's Birthday

We all went to Park City and rented a condo for Memorial Day weekend and in celebration of Jim's Birthday.
 Jim (Kiri) and Julie (Lia)
Proud Grandpa holding the coolest birthday card. Hanky, Brooke, Na-na and Dylan
Hanky was so good with Lia....she loved him...
Brooke was amazing, too...She was giving Eric a run for his money!
 Max loves him some trifle!
 The girls before bed time.
Brooke, Hanky and Na-na making the girls laugh!
The whole crew (missing Annie, Bryan and the girls!) shopping at the outlets, I think Camile was the only responsible one looking after the children and didn't get to be in the picture...look how happy Jim looks?!
I think it's so funny that this random girl grabbed Max's hand and kept following him...this happens all of the time...my mom was really surprised the first time it happened under her watch.
Max in the clown car that he loves...there's a similar one at the Walmart in Evanston.
Grady was a little MIA since he wasn't feeling so good...but the moments we saw him, he sure stole the show! Everyone had such a great time and the only complaint I heard was that it was too short!

Children's Fairyland

We got to take Max to Children's Fairyland in Oakland.
Just this sign alone brings back so many memories for me.

Puff the Magic Dragon. I have the exact same picture of me as a child.

We got to see the puppet show "Peter and the wolf." They have a section up front just for the kids to sit...as I tried to get Max's attention, I kept whispering, 'Max' and he was so enthralled with the puppet show, he couldn't divert his attention, instead he just kept responding in full volume, "YES?!" All the other parents kept laughing.

I'm not sure what he was doing here...I imagine he was taking a little rest.
Eric and Max on the train ride...they had a four person maximum and the 'conductor' wouldn't let me and the girls on.
They had so many pint sized things for Max to enjoy...I hope that Fairyland will be around for the girls and for my grand kids!

Fun in the Sun with cousins!

Max and Parker were bored one day so we busted out the hose and fun was had!!
They look so cute together...Max was having so much fun!
Eric's comment on this picture was, 'Man, that Parker's a lean, muscle-y kid!"...Just like my brother!
Fun memories with Parker...who is about to be a big brother!

The Bay Area

A lot of people say they live in the Bay Area...my parents actually live on the Bay...which makes it kind of windier and colder than one would think when they imagine California...but it does have it's perks.

Early morning walks to the beach

There's an ice cream truck that comes by during the weekend. I stood in line behind three or four different sets of parents each wearing a Bjorn and or Ergo carrier and ordering 'something Spiderman.' Diane Keaton in Baby Boom was so right on!
With a face like that, how could I resist? The other day we were pulled out of Sunday school to take Max to the potty...Eric said that Max, literally, was running back to nursery and when Eric opened the door, Max shouted, "Don't worry, guys, I'm back!" He's such a character.

Scarlett turns 2 @ Chuck E Cheese's

The day we were set to fly to California also happened to be Scarlet's birthday...Max was so sad to not get to be a part of it...through a series of unfortunate events, we missed our flight...the first thing Max said was, now we get to go see Lucy!
The birthday girl
  Max and his funny faces

We only got to stay for a few minutes...so we didn't get many pictures...Jared TOTALLY making this shot! Thanks for letting us join in the fun, even if it was only for a few minutes!

Pedicure days

These pictures are from about two months ago...sorry for the lag time...we were visiting my parents in California for the last month. Lia and Kiri patiently waiting while their toes dried.
Lia...I love her big blue eyes...who knows what color they will end up...but for now...they are quite spectacular.
As are her cute, chubby little toes.

Kiri's eyes are a beautiful blue, as well. Her hair is also still a light peach fuzz. Pretty little girls, if I do say so myself!

You've got to love The Dollar Tree.
The pay off.
