They're finally here!!! Our first family Pics!!!!

First of all we would like to thank Kara & Landon for doing an amazing job with these photos...Kara as the photographer and Landon as the most patient assistant/child entertainer/diaper bag carrier/doctor ever!!!

So, we picked the perfect photographer, the perfect location, the perfectly color coordinated outfits, the perfect day...and wouldn't you know it, Max would not smile for a single picture...I don't know how Kara did it, but somehow (magically) she got great pictures out of nothing!!! thank you so much!!!

Check out her blog http://karahphotography.blogspot.com/

Here are a few of our favorites

The caption on this should read, "oh, I just can't wait to be king!"

Eric really is the best father...Max is the love of both of our lives!!!

Max is doing a weird curtsy thing...

I just like this because my calves look ripped in this photo!

Don't I look a little Michael Jackson and blanket in this picture?

Pioneer Day Weekend!

For Pioneer Day weekend, we were in charge of the ward activity. So, we decided to make the trek down to Costco...it just so happened that it was also Lucy's first birthday! Here's the birthday girl and her proud parents!Lucy was quite skilled at the art of present opening. Here they are holding the dress we got Lucy.

Jason and Mer are always so nice to let us stay at their house when we go down to Provo...you can tell that Max enjoyed the accommodations!!

While we were down in Utah, we decided to see if Dr. Smith (a.k.a. Putty) could clean our teeth. He was nice enough to go to the office just for us! If any of you need a great dentist...you can't tell if you're at a spa or the dentist....check out his website...

Afterwards, we all went to 'Old Macdonald's.' Eric, me, Brinnley, Jackson, Wendy, Makayla and Steve.
For the ward activity we decided to have a ward pie eating contest...here are some of the contestants right before the youth pie eating contest.

Here they are shoving their pie holes with pie!

We wanted the adults to join in as well, so we had a couples competition. Me and Eric sitting in anticipation right before the start of the contest.

Eric shoving my face with pie!

Sad,...all that pie I ate and we only came in second place!

Whenever there are extra pies...a pie fight is soon to ensue...here is a member of the bishopric and his wife after they smashed pies at each other!!! They are the most awesome couple!!!

5K and Fossilfest Funnies

My mom was kind enough to get up at the crack of dawn to watch the stink shark so we could participate in a 5K this last weekend. Aimei asked me to keep a slow pace so she could keep up with me. I've been playing basketball and running consistantly for the last couple of years. I figured I would have to slow WAY down in order for her to keep up with me. Well guess what, she kicked my trash. She hasn't run in over a year and a half and I honestly couldn't keep up with those fast moving short little legs. She ended up waiting for me at the finish line. The shame was great.

Here is Aimei kicking my trash in the race.
Here I am after the race; exhausted, thirsty, and full of shame.

Here we are together. Aimei was nice enough to give me a sympathy hug. What a good sport.

Adam and Camille made the trip for this year's Fossilfest in Kemmerer. Adam played in the 3 x 3 tournament while we ran in the race. Adam's team won one game and he shared in my athletic shame. Here is a picture of Adam looking buff after finishing a game.

FOSSILFEST FUNNIES
In addition to having fun with the 5K, we participated in a Silent Melodrama called "Doll in the Family." I played the sherriff hero and Aimei played the evil Villain. The plot involved the kidnapping of a beautiful cowgirl in distress. In the end I saved the day by thwarting Aimei's evil plans and was praised by all. Can you tell that I also wrote the melodrama?

There was singing, dancing, and a lot of fun. We had great crowds for both performances and everybody seemed to enjoy the show. Aimei had a child come up to her after the show and tell her, "I hate you." She must've had a pretty sad look on her face because he added, "...well, I like you in real life but I hate you in the movies!"

Fossil Fest 2009 Kids' Night!!!

When we first moved to Kemmerer, we heard some negative comments about Fossil Fest, despite those comments, I have come to realize that I look forward to Fossil Fest all year long. This was our third Fossil Fest together and we really got into the spirit this year. On Thursday night they have a kids' night and we were asked to dress up as superheroes for the Heroes vs kids tug-o-war! Here we are...as one kid put it, "Look, momma, it's Supergirl and Batman and Spiderman...and...uh....a woman in black!" Great...I looked like a woman in black...I was Cat Woman...but the costume they gave me didn't have a mask!!!
Here we are, again, with Max as Super Baby! For the rest of Fossil Fest weekend, strangers kept coming up to us and referring to Max as Super Baby (no objections here!)!

Here we are in the tug-o-war...they told us to let the kids win...but in a all honesty we let the boys win...but the girls...man, their parents must be feeding them their Wheaties!!! Check out this picture...my one question is...where's Eric's head?!?!!!

Jim & Julie, Geoff & Jody and the kids came to partake of the festivities. Here they are holding the fossils that they won as one of the booths....I'll tell you, there were some pretty impressive prizes this year!
I hope Jody will tell in more detail on her blog, but Dylan is a champ as golf!!!

Here are Hanky, Dylan and Spiderman...look at Hanky's right hand!! So stenchin' cute!!!
