What Women REALLY Want

What a Girl Wants

So, I thought this was so funny; I just had to post it on our blog!!! Some women dream of diamonds, pearls, lavish possessions or positions of power…but I think these men hold the real key!!!
Eric will never be these things…but this Sunday, I really was able to appreciate how wonderful of a husband I have. We were rushing to Church and we had to teach our lessons to the young men and women and one thing led to another and it’s surprising how bugged you can get with one another…over nothing. By the time we were finally at church, we were yearning for solace away from each other. There I was in young women… “We are daughters on our Heavenly Father…” Man, Eric was SO in the wrong this morning… “which are faith, diving nature, individual worth…” I can’t believe he is being SO stubborn… “and receive the blessing of exaltation.” NOTHING…talk about noticing the mote but not the beam…anyway, somewhere along the line, I started my lesson and the spirit took over and soon all I could think of was how grateful I was for Eric and what a kindhearted, sincere and fun person he is. Much to my surprise, Eric was having a parallel experience and when we saw each other in Sunday school, all was forgiven and understood without having to say anything. Then, we noticed that the program stated that Eric Phillips was the musical number (singing a solo)….HAHHAAHA! I don’t know anyone else (well, other than Meradith Christensen…but come one…she has, like, the best voice in the WORLD!) who could have done that without any preparation and done SO fabulously…I can’t imagine a better suited spouse for me.

Funny Signs from China

Eric says that Asian girls don't have behinds...well this is proof that they exist.
This one actually applies...they should have this everywhere in China...to warn the tourists!
This one is Naughty!!!
I think my mom likes this idea...even after death...cleanliness!!!
This one should be put up on the door of some supervisors here at Naughton Plant!

A secret admirer gave me a present on my desk this morning!!!

So, I come into work today to find a sweet little gift on my keyboard...Knowing that I had been the mastermind behind several practical jokes…I knew it was my time…Hesitant at what might be in the box, I slowly crept up to find….
I had to illicit someone's help to get rid of it...yuck...dead PACK RAT!!! Some people thought it was cute...if cute means, ugly, dirty, disease infested nastiness...then, yes, it was "cute."P.S. I of course then put it on my boss' chair for him to find!!! MUAAAA! MUAAAA!!

Jello Popcorn

Prior to Joining the Phillips Family, I never knew of it’s delicious existence. Once I tried it, I was hooked for life. Much like the gospel teaches… if you find goodness, truth, knowledge…anything that betters your life,…the Christ like thing to do is to share it…so, in due accordance, I shared Jello popcorn with the Naughton Plant…and I think the picture speaks for itself…PEOPLE LOVED IT (though it kind of looks like a bloody massacre occured in the bowl)! I described it to all the skeptics as, “fun…sweet…pink…what’s not to love…it’s like going to the circus.” …and thus it was dubbed, “Circus Popcorn,” by the plant employees. I’m just happy I did a "Christ-"like thing today!!! HAHAHA!!!

A Small Part In It ALL

So, I’m thankful for the little blessings that come when you don’t even know you need them. I was minding my own business at work today when one of the supervisors pulled me aside. He led me to his office and closed the door (never a good sign). He sat me down and started with, “You’re a Mormon, right?” (Also not a good sign) To which I replied in the affirmative. He continued by saying that he had overheard some shifters mention me during last night’s graveyard shift (for any of you who have never worked at a Power Plant…graveyard shift conversation can be a little rude and crude). He followed by relating how one of the employees told a story about how I had asked him to be Santa Claus for our ward party last year, “She just did her thing and before I knew it, I was cutting my fishing trip short to go to a Mormon church to pass out candy canes.” To which all the men laughed (I guess my reputation of being a little too “persuasive” preceded me!). One of them asked, “Would you do it again?” …and he answered, “I would…if she needed my help, again, I would.” Now, I could pretend it was my sparkling personality or the wonderful array of ($0.75 a person) hors devours and dinner but, I believe (I know) it was the spirit that touched that man that day. I am just grateful to have had a small part in it all.

DON'T JUDGE ME!!!

So…I had a very eye opening experience into the intricacies of the human brain this week...I had much time to ponder my observations as I spent the entire weekend bored in Kemmerer while Eric vomited and slept.
The back drop: American Idol…I wouldn’t consider myself a loyal watcher…nor am I avid enough to ever vote…but on Tuesdays when Eric goes to play basketball, I’ll watch it. Through out this season I have had my favorites: Brooke and David Archuleta (for both obvious and less than obvious reasons). I have also had my dislikes: Carly (not a fan…she just bugs), Ramiele…could you be anymore timid and mousy…and don’t get me started on Jason Castro…get RID of the locks….SERIOUSLY!!!...and David Cook…forehead of an alien!!! Then they did Neil Diamond songs as their theme….and Jason Castro sang, “Forever in Blue Jeans.” I saw him smile this crooked half side ways smile and I was faintly charmed by the whole performance from then on. I was much more surprised at my secondary reaction than I was by my initial…it was RAGE!!! I hated him even more! For a brief moment, I glimpsed into the mind of KKK members, Black Panther members, or homophobic extremists…they have so ingrained it into their mind to dislike a particular group that when someone or thing alters that set of beliefs…they react with rage…rather than welcoming the fact that their hate or dislike might have been unfounded.
Anyway…I decided to embrace my epiphany and accept my new crush on Jason Castro. For all of you who don’t know who he is…I’ve posted a picture…I, of course, completely understand that it is totally pre-tend & immature and know that I am happily married and have even confessed this crush to Eric…to which he just laughed. You've all had crushes that weren't logical...so...DON'T JUDGE ME!!!

WE MET MICHAEL JORDAN!!!

So, here are some pictures of when we went to the Jazz game that Eric’s brother Adam so kindly invited us to. This is Meradith and Jason Christensen (It’s always funny to see who people say first…you can always tell who they consider their primary friend. For instance, on Meradith and Jason’s blog…which Meradith writes…we are Aimei and Eric…but on Eric’s sister’s blog we’re Eric and Aimei…the psychology behind blogs!! I don’t think there’s much truth to it…I just like that I out ranked Eric on Jason’s blog!!!)
Here’s a picture we took with Thurl Lee Bailey!!!! Eric didn’t want to bother him…but I felt no shame in asking him if we could take a picture…he was SO nice…he told me I looked like Lucy Liu..whom I personally think is way ugly…but I think he meant it as a compliment…I returned the favor and told him how the Asian couple, which he had just taken a picture with prior to us, was excited that they were lucky enough to have met “Micho Jodang!” (Translated…they thought he was Michael Jordan!) I felt shamed by my people! :)
